I have been an Interior Designer for over 25 years. I am familiar with all aspects of design and have worked on new constructions and remodels, both residential and commercial. I owned and operated my own design firm in Columbus, Ohio, prior to moving to Rocky River. Now, I have a large design studio and access to the wide variety of resources that it takes to service my clients who are looking for fine attention to details with the latest and most up-to-date items. I provide space planning, consultations, design and detail, specification of materials, development of color schemes and floor plans, furniture selections, window treatment design and execution, and placement of accessories. In 2007, some of my most notable work was published in The Spectacular Homes of Ohio & Pennsylvania. It is critical to understand the importance of the architecture and the interior design of a room working together: the walls and the floors are just as significant as the fabrics and the furniture. I coordinate all aspects of the design which will allow the room to “blend and flow” into one another. I also approach each project in the eye of an artist and then combine my resources as paint on a canvas. Design Philosophy:
I started out my career locally in the custom home business at Red Tail Golf Club. Working closely with my father's contracting company, I became highly attuned to the construction side of design and how to create spaces that can actually be built. I then moved on to Las Vegas, where I worked on the City Center project for MGM Design Group learning all the ins and outs of the hospitality end of design. After the project was completed I traveled to Santa Barbara, California where I worked for a small boutique firm specializing in high end residential and hospitality. Now I am back home and started my own company where I look forward to using my experiences and talents in the greater Cleveland area and beyond.
BLS excels in new construction as well as renovations and has a full service studio that can provide space planning, interior architecture, construction drawings, interior finishes & fixtures all the way to furniture, fabrics, lighting and accessories selections and installations. Renderings are available upon request for clients that need a bit more assistance with visualization.
Currently we have projects in Cleveland, Westlake, Florida and Abu Dhabi.
